Expanding on signal flow and patching Week 2 Blog 1
After having a three week break from the studio console desks of the Audient 8024 and Neve studio, it was time to get reacquainted with the signal flow and start using the patchbays to our advantage. We went back through on how much better it is to get the sounds you want to record first by using the console EQ and then us the outboard gear.
For example, by using a compressor through the desks before recording the signal onto the DAW, to get a more even dB level.

I found it interesting on how to use frequency gain to checkout and see if there are any problems with the outboard gear and tune it to unity before the session starts. It's done by patching the oscillator which l will explore, so l can get a good understanding on how l can better use, for the sessions l do.
