Back to converting analog records to mp3
For the last 2 weeks I haven't been able to get back to 4EB radio station. The first week, it was the floods. The second week, it was Covid lockdown. Then there was a weather alerts for bad weather at the beginning of the third week. I decided to take a risk as I really need to complete my obligations to 4EB for completion of my internship.
Album - Dramatic and Horror

As I was going through the stations record collection, (for the next couple of albums to transfer onto the stations data base) and came across some albums that would be perfect for the Drac's Empire project, (which Philadelphia Murefu and I were working on in previous trimesters). I just love these old records; they would have been considered ‘dope’ in there day. The orchestral instruments that were used to create the atmosphere for the movie scenes sounded awesome. No digital electronic gismos to record samples with, just pure talent.
Editing
Editing for this album was a little bit harder, due to the vinyl has been played a lot and being vinyl, had some tricky scratches to cut out to disguise as pop sounds.
I made a couple of data errors which I had to work out, as I'm still learning the stations pc computer hardware and how it connects to the station’s data base. Looking for misplaced files can slow the workflow right to a snail pace, but I worked my way around the problem.
Conclusion
I put in a long day today, getting the album edited and transferred for the DJ's. Hopefully they will explore the tracks and use the sounds in their up-and-coming programs. The atmosphere in the radio station is always friendly, which makes it easy to approach people and ask for advice if I need too.
