Coaching Session.
Since we can no longer help our artist to improve their performance while we are all in the studio, recording their tracks into the DAW. This does create a challenge in the social distance requirement. So Phil and l decided the best way for us moving forward was to coach our artist via an online meeting. It's not the best way to coach an artist, as you really need to be there in person to get the best performance possible. There isn't much we could do about the situation but adapt to the challenges that have been presented with. It would have been a far better result if Phil, I and the artist could have been there in person and had more hands-on input, but we didn't want to put anyone's health at risk because it potentially is a life or death scenario.
Zoom meeting
Phil contacted Nick (the artist) and we arranged a Zoom meeting. We wanted to help instruct Nick on his recording and vocal techniques but at the same time make it a friendly chat session and a bit of fun. We had no idea how it is going to turn out or if our suggestions would be successful, but we had to try to get the best result we could.
What we talked about.
Distance from the microphone when singing.
Marking the floor so he knew where to stand each time.
DAW settings.
Microphone recording levels.
Creating a dead zone partition to sing into.
Creating a popstopper.
Trying to control vocal levels while singing.

Nick kept in contact with Phil, and Phil would relay the conversation via Slack with myself, when a problem occurred l would slack a message back. We used our DRAK EMPIRE slack account to keep in contact with this project.
Here is a copy of a Zoom meeting and how we coached from online. I think it's not too bad, but l really needed to have a checklist in front of me have made it more successful. had I done this l could have then emailed the checklist to Phil and Nick, so we could all be on the same page. It's the first time coaching, let alone being online to accomplish this. I have learned a lot from the experience.
