What l have prepared for next DRAX meeting (week 4 Blog 3)

This weekend l have been working on the DRAX song Blood Sucker. Getting the midi tracks to working properly, finding free sound foley's and sorted them out. I also put down the lead guitar for the solo halfway through the song. l will be take my weekends work to the DRAX council on Monday, and see if they want to make any changes or not.

The reason why l did so much work on the song, is because Nym (Tom) needs it to be done ASAP so he can get stuck into the EDM parts. I really don't what to leave the EDM till the last minute as that would not be fair on Nym. Nym also has to add drums at the end of Egor's (Dec) drums he recorded.

Egor has sent the animation designer an email about get our video clip done for our single, which we are waiting for a reply.

Here are some pic on what l am summiting to the DRAX group council meeting on Monday to consider.

First pic is the edit window with all the tracks.

the second and third pic is the way l used midi to get different sounds.

2 synth sounds and 2 effect sound.

The fourth pic is the instrument midi's sound.

Voodoo (Phil) had email me his midi parts, but l could get them to work properly. l had to change a couple of this around to get it up and running. l will talk to Voodoo tomorrow at DRAX group council and ask if that is what he wanted. (Only one midi instrument would work)

Pic four below

In the fifth pic l mixed some sample sounds together to create a new sound for Voodoo's Church Organ through the plugin Expand 2.

As you can see, all the midi channels are going to the same midi channel 1. Voodoo will have the last say if he likes the mix or not.

Coming to a Blood Bank near your.

That's it for the updates. Every channel in the editing and mixing console is now working. (yeah) DRAX is back on track (l hope) to release their single on time.
