The start of learning how to create songs by sampling (Week 5 Blog 1)

Yes another day of learning how to use Logic Pro X and how to create music with samples.

I watched the tutorial video's on Sunday night for preparation for todays (Monday) lecture.

Absolutely fascinating, just how advanced music and technology has come to this date in time.

The world of samples and creating your own samples by sampling everything and anything. It fills your imagination with endless possibilities with what you can achieve by a simple sample.

Last trimester we had to create our own samples and that was a lot of fun, now l'm wondering about how l can use those samples, and get the most out of unusual sample sounds l created. There is just so much to learn about this medium and how to use it to create new songs. I managed to get some screen shots in class today.

I just had a listen to my efforts from this morning and l can safely say that l have a lot to learn about how to create new songs with sampling.

DRAX Update

Gave the DRAX a listen to my weekend work and they were happy with what l have done. So tonight l rendered the files for my fellow DRAX and they are now sitting in our folder in google drive.

So now lets get that EDM happening Nym (Tom). I am really looking forward to hearing the EDM coming in after the guitar solo and hearing the song Blood Sucker go off.
