Drax - The Brain Storm (week 1 Blog 1)

Just started a new project at SAE - AUD210 Project One out of two projects to be completed. This trimester is all about learning as you go, to complete your grade through a point system of guidelines to be ticked off once you have completed each task.

At the moment, we have organised our group - 'Drax'. We started brain storming about what we as a team are going to record, and keep in the back of our minds the ticking schedule to make sure we gather our points to pass at the end of the trimester.

Drax want to mix EDM with Goth and Hard Rock / metal.

I put down a rhythm guitar track tonight with the click track pumping at 120bpm, as well as the first verse and chorus scratch lyrics and sent it off to the fellow Drax's which l have the pleasure of working with on Project One. The song is all about a Vampire, (just incase you are wondering), yes it is an original composition. So Dracula has gone techno 'sort of'.

The green track is my Rhythm Guitar and the blue track is some Vocal ideas l put forward at group meeting.

Drax members are Dechlan - on Electronic Drums

Philadelphia - keyboard, samples

Thomas - EDM, Bass, sampling and loops

Me (Roy) - All Guitar parts and maybe vocal

Only going to use plugins for Guitar, which l will research on how to use them better.

Super excited to be able to get involved with the fellow team members on this project.
