Learning more about the Neve Console (Week 5 Blog 2)

Today in the morning was about learning more about the Neve console and getting more experience at setting up to record drums and given some more ideas on where to set up a drum kit in a room, which is always handy to know. We also talked about microphone placement and how to search the room for the best position for the room microphones. After the the drum kit had its microphones put in position, it was time to record the drum kit to some sample tracks on the DAW.

Then Phil showed us all how good he was on the kit. Said he hasn't picked up the sticks for 6 years. Really buddy

It was great, ok awesome to hear so much talent on Tuesday mania.

DRAX Mix review of Blood Sucker the single

In the arvo the DRAX went into a studio to talk about the how we were going to mix our single Blood Sucker and what had to be done. I have know termed it, DRAX Council around the coffin table. We had the privilege of having a lecturer come onto holy ground and have a listen to our song Blood Sucker and give us some needed pointers to look out for and some really great valuable suggestions. We have our presentation day on Monday.
