Audacity Editting

The Audacity DAW is a little different to my ProTools DAW, but they all have basically the same tools. With Audacity, when you cut a section out, it automatically pastes itself back together. If the edited section still has a problem, you can undo and then try a different approach.


Here is a sample below highlighting area which needs to be edited/cut out.

Once I have edited the tracks to the best I can, I then clean up between the tracks so the starts and finishes are noise free. By using the noise reduction effect (which can be accessed via a dropdown box), I can clean up a lot of the small background noises. If the noise reduction effect process hasn't eliminated all the background noises, then I will cut those areas out with the scissor tool.
