I was introduced to another task as part of my duties at the 4EB radio station program. When I'm not helping out in the recording studio, my time will be spent:
transferring some albums (which are analog) into a digital stereo wav, so it made it easier for the radio jockey / presenters to access through the station computer network.
As you can see by the picture to the right, it’s a basic workstation that has been set up just for analog to digital transfer via the DAW.
The DAW software was Audacity, which I have never used before. Alex the repair tech gave me a basic lesson on how to operate the Audacity DAW.

My job for the today, was to record, edited and upload an album titled Sound Effects. The main task was to edit as many of the scratches and pops out of the digital recording of the album. I'm not quite sure what method of editing will give me the result I'm looking for, but Alex gave me a brief rundown.
Here is a couple of examples below of a scratch peak in "digital world" being cut out.

I also have a dropdown window that I can explore with basic effects. For example: Noise Reduction, Hard Limiter and Amplify.
