Today I finished off the last of the album for the cultural nation series. This series was brilliant to listen to. A true indication of the musical diversity throughout the global village. I learnt a lot from these albums: that I was asked to transfer to mp3.

1 - different ways of editting

2 - the diversity of global music

Once I had edited one side of the record all the way through and getting as much of the noise out of the tracks. I would separate the song tracks into individual sections and transfer each section at a time. Making sure that every track was labelled correctly, so that the radio programmers could identify the tracks.

Below is a pic of a record side being to complete mp3 transfer to the library.

One side of record edited and ready to go into library online.

Next album on the list is called The Editors Companion 1. It's an album of short intros and ends. The tracks run from 2 seconds to 15 seconds. This album will take a while to do.
