Week 2 is shaping up to be a huge week, in keeping the B&W Audio projects on track.

Progress for the Coroda animation:

  1. B&W Audio finally has the theme composition sorted. The Coroda animators wanted a keyboard base theme, that wouldn’t intrude too much on their animation project. They shared a heap of reference compositions for us to listen too. Phil composed a piece on his keyboard that would fit in with their animation vision for their project. (Brilliant buddy)

  2. Working on foley sounds to submit to the animation team for approval.

  3. Sorting out samples and atmos.

  4. Starting sound design.

On our regular meeting with the animators, they ask about our progress with the audio sounds, (as this project is their main body of work for their trimesters final project). The pressure is on us for the B&W Audio to work towards get the job completed, this is so they can hear some ongoing progress, to keep their and our project on track.

Animation progress so far.

B&W Audio

B&W Funk Bros are working on getting the tracking completed. I quickly wrote the lyrics for the 5 songs. My strategy for writing the songs, was to give myself 10 – 30 minutes on each song, and write some simple catchy dance lyrics. I finished all the songs’ lyrics this week and all the sessions have been forward to Voodoo (Phil), so the Grand Funk Master Voodoo can sprinkle some of his magic on the songs. I’m very lucky to be teamed up with the Funk Master.

To make the sessions go smoothly, I laid out all the song structures so Voodoo would have plenty of information to look over before he started recording any tracks. Originally, I just sent wav files and screenshots of song structure, but when Voodoo created a new session, he left the timeline blank as we are trying to get the project done asap. So, I had to data transfer the session timeline data into the new session, this means I now have 2 sessions of the same song, so l decided the best way to deal with this, was to upload my original sessions with all the information on each session into our shared folder for Voodoo.

B&W Funk Bros have started their first session.

The B&W Funk Bros is a huge piece of pie to chew through, and we are learning faster ways to devour the project pie.
